Janey Shin

Janey Shin brings broad expertise at the intersection of evidence, policy, and patient access in Canadian life sciences. At AbbVie Canada, she leads Real-World Evidence, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, and Pipeline Strategy — focused on demonstrating the clinical and economic value of medicines across the product lifecycle and supporting timely access to innovation. Throughout her career, she has cultivated system-level and public-private partnerships with cancer agencies, provincial governments, regional health authorities, and research institutions that have helped shape Canada’s evidence infrastructure and inform reimbursement policy. Her experience spans executive roles at AbbVie, Novo Nordisk, Johnson & Johnson, Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, and Eli Lilly across oncology, immunology, neuroscience, rare diseases, and medical technology. Janey holds an MSc in Biostatistics from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
