Brian Canestraro

Brian Canestraro is a Canadian biopharmaceutical executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning general management, commercialization, market access, government affairs, and launch strategy across specialty, rare disease, and hospital-based markets. He has led Canadian organizations through growth, transformation, and postmerger integration, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering meaningful access, reimbursement, and commercial outcomes in the Canadian healthcare system. 

Brian currently serves as Vice President and General Manager of ADVANZ PHARMA Canada and previously held senior leadership roles at Intercept Pharma Canada and Gilead Sciences Canada, where he helped shape market access strategy, provincial negotiations, and successful product launches. He is recognized for translating global strategy into Canadian execution and for creating launch playbooks that drive both patient access and enterprise value.
