COVID-19 OUTBREAK UPDATE

Updated March 13th, 2020

We’d like to thank you for your interest in the 2nd Annual National Summit on Integrated Care hosted on May 12-13th, 2020 at The Old Mill in Toronto.

We’ve been monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak, and working closely the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) to ensure the safety of our event attendees, speakers, sponsors and staff. Currently, the PHAC has maintained that the public-health risk is low in Canada. However, we are implementing additional protocols and procedures to further reduce risk and to exercise additional caution. To date, we’ve maintained confidence across our attendee with an understanding that their safety is our primary concern.

To confirm, this event is going ahead as scheduled.

We are working very closely with The Old Mill to ensure we have a comprehensive onsite plan for continual cleaning and sanitization of public spaces and providing sanitization stations and other provisions.

In addition to our regular protocols we are introducing a series of precautionary measures based on the PHAC and WHO public health authority guidelines:

  • Attendees from affected areas (according to WHO guidance), or who believe they may have been exposed to the virus, will not be permitted to attend the event. To date, this represents less than 1% of our overall attendee base.
  • Increased cleaning and disinfecting of all high-volume areas throughout the event including exhibitor and catering areas, handrails, washrooms, entrances and exits
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at registration, the information desk and at the entrances to all track rooms
  • A firm no-handshake policy
  • A microphone disinfecting protocol will be in place for speakers
  • Signage throughout the event, and email communications to remind attendees of health and hygiene guidelines
  • Social distancing protocols at the event

We are confident these measures will keep our event safe and successful for all participants. We continue to monitor updates from PHAC and WHO and may additional protocols based on their recommendations.

We look forward to you joining our existing community of attendees for 2-days of learning and business development.
