Imran Ali joined Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) in July 2022 as Director Public Policy & Provincial Affairs.  His responsibilities include working with provincial public payers to advance the strategic objectives of BMS Canada, including specific product launches as well as national policy initiatives.

Imran comes to BMS from Green Shield Canada (GSC), where he spent two and a half years as Director, Pharmaceutical Partnerships. In that role he was responsible for the negotiation and development of innovative solutions to secure access to new treatments from various pharmaceutical and medical equipment manufacturers.

Previously, Imran was Senior Manager at the Office of the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance (pCPA), the body that provides dedicated centralized support to the negotiations process for drug prices, representing all 14 public drug plan jurisdictions in Canada.  He was responsible for negotiations, communications, analysis, standardization, tactical processes and plans, and policy development strategies.

Imran also worked for the Ontario Ministry of Health, where he held various positions managing negotiations, reimbursement and optimization strategies for health system agreements.
