Dr. Kendall Gilmore

Kendall is Associate Director of Strategy at NICE, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence in the United Kingdom.  In his role he leads policy and strategy development and engagement across a range of priority areas and heads NICE’s new enhanced horizon scanning function looking at emerging trends in medicines, technologies, health and care, and policies relevant to NICE.

Prior to joining NICE, Kendall spent over 10 years working in health policy, strategy and transformation roles in government, health systems, academia and private sector organisations across several countries. Most recently he was based in Italy as a HealthPros Fellow, an EU Network for Healthcare Performance Intelligence Professionals, where he worked with leading international healthcare organisations on the measurement and incentivisation of value-based healthcare.

He has a PhD in Healthcare Management from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Pisa, Italy, a Master’s in Global Health from University College London and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Edinburgh.
